Hyundai Xcent Launched in India at Rs 4.66 lakh


Hyundai has launched Xcent Sedan in India at Rs 4.66, which is based on the Grand i10 and is replacement of Accent Sedan which was discontinued last year. It is powered by the same engine as Grand i10 — the second generation 1.1-litre U2 CRDi diesel and the 1.2-litre Kappa dual VTVT petrol.

   The 1.1 litre CRDi diesel churns out 72Bhp at 4,000rpm and 180.4 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,500rpm, company claims a fuel economy of 24.4kmpl. The 1.2 litre Kappa engine churns out 83Bhp at 6,000rpm and 111.8 Nm of torque, company claims a fuel economy of 19.1kmpl. Both the engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.


 Inside it features climate control system, rear AC vents and music system which include Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in. It has also 1 GB on board storage capacity. The Top variant get a reverse parking camera and a smart key with push button start.


The Xcent gets dual tone beige-black interior and cooled glove box. For safety measures it is mated ABS is optional in S and SX variant. The airbags is standard even in base variant. It will be competing with the cars like Honda Amaze and upcoming Tata Zest.
