Kawasaki officials made an important announcement for the bike lovers. Officials stated that they would launch three new motorcycles in India within this year. The three new models which are bound to India are (Z250SL, Vulcan S, Ninja ZX-6R 636).
Kawasaki Z250SL: It is naked version of Z250, slightly taller and gives attractive aggressive look. It is powered by the 249cc, four stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected motor that churns out 27.6Bhp and 22.5Nm of torque. It also weights about 20kg less than Z250. It is equipped with a fully digital instrument console.
The Kawasaki Z250SL is expected to be priced at Rs 2 lakh, it will be competing with bikes like Benelli TNT 250 and KTM 200.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636: The Ninja ZX-6R looks similar to it's big brother ZX-10R. It is powered by the 636cc, four stroke, liquid cooled, four cylinder motor that churns out 129.2Bhp and 70.6Nm of torque. It is equipped with many safety features like ABS, Slipper Clutch, Traction Control, Two Power Modes and an Economy Indicator.
The bike is mated to a part digital console that displays the tachometer in analog format. The Ninja ZX-6R will be priced at Rs 12-13 lakh and it will be competing with only one competitor Triumph Dytona 675 which is leading in it's own league.
Kawasaki Vulcan S: Kawasaki Vulcan S is modern Cruiser, which is powered by the same engine which is used in Ninja 650. Kawasaki is offering customisable seating posture, digital analog console and even has adjustable rider foot pegs. It is powered by the 650cc, four stroke, parallel twin, liquid cooled and fuel injected motor that churn out 60.2Bhp and 62.7Nm of torque.
Vulcan S is expected to be here in India by mid 2015 and it will be estimated at Rs 6 lakh. It will be competing with head to head with Harley Davidson 750.
