Isuzu has recently entered in the Indian Auto market. The Japanese Auto maker unveiled the D-Max Pickup truck and the MU-7 SUV. Isuzu also showcased the D-Max rally which is a rally car. Isuzu has recently
inaugurated their first plant in India and it will begin operations by 2016.
Isuzu D-Max Pickup:
Isuzu D-Max is a Pickup truck and it is powered by a 4 cylinder, 2.5 litre inter-cooled turbo diesel engine which churns out 136Bhp @3,600 rpm and 294Nm of torque @1,800-3,200rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. D-Max is featured with power steering, power window, centralised door lock, engine mobilizer and dual airbags.
Isuzu MU-7 is a SUV which is powered by a 4 cylinder, 3.0 litre inter cooled VGS turbo diesel engine that churns out 163Bhp @3,600rpm and 360Nm of torque @1,800-2,800rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The MU-7 comes with standard features like Dual AC, Instrument Cluster with digital trip computer, leather seats trim, seat slide on front, 4 spoke leather wrapped steering wheel and leather wrapped gear lever knob.
Safety features include ABS (Anti-lock braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), Dual air bags and keyless entry. Isuzu can also provide it's Hi package which includes 2-Din Audio system with touch screen, Bluetooth, USB & Aux-in, Rear view camera, Rooftop display unit, Interior Chrome pack, Floor mats, Front & Rear bumper kits and Chrome exhaust finisher. It will be competing with the cars like Ford Endeavour, Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Fortuner and Nissan X-Trail.
