Lotus reveals C-01 Superbike


Lotus has it's C-01 the first Superbike, although Lotus has not actual made the bike it is manufactured by the Germany Kodewa Performance Motorcycles and tuner Holzer Group. This Superbike is designed by Daniel Simon, who has worked with many companies like Bugatti and Volkswagen. This Superbike will be expected to go on production in a few months.



     
The Bike's body is fabricated with steel, titanium and carbon fibre. It is powered by a two cylinder, liquid cooled, four stroke 1195cc V-Twin engine that churns out 200Bhp. The engine is mated to a 6 speed
jaw-type shift transmission. The C-01 weighs around 181kg and fuel tank capacity is 10.5L. It is expected to be manufactured less than 100 units, superbike collectors and fans of the Lotus brand will need to move fast to secure one.

Designer Daniel Simon said: “The design process of the C-01 was a labour of love, there were many challenges, ensuring that the bike not only touches your visual senses with its timeless blend of classic appeal and modern execution, but that is safe and ergonomically sound was critical to me. We have worked hard to create a motorcycle with very distinctive features such as a clean main body, an extremely low side profile, a bold stance, a unique air intake, logical partline solutions and clean graphics.
