Toyota revealed Etios Cross at the Auto Expo 2014 on February 6. Bookings have started and it can be booked at the amount of Rs 50,000. Pricing details has not been released yet but launch date is expected to be May 2014. Etios Cross is muscular version of Liva hatchback.
Etios Cross is mated with plastic cladding around the lower body, grille guard, 15-inch diamond cut alloys, roof rails, fog lamps and ORVMs with turn indicators and a roof spoiler. Interior gets a height adjustable seat, leather wrapped steering wheel and steering mounted audio controls. The music system is a 2-Din with Bluetooth, USB and Aux.
The dashboard and seats get piano black color. Safety features include ABS, EBD and dual airbags.
Etios Cross is available in three engine options two petrol engine and a diesel engine. The petrol engine options include 1.5 litre that churns out 90Bhp at 5,600rpm and 132Nm of torque at 3,000rpm, 1.2 litre engine churns out 80Bhp and 104nm of torque. There is only one option in diesel engine 1.4 litre that churns out 68Bhp at 3,800rpm and 170Nm of torque at 1,800-2,400rpm.
Etios Cross will be competing with the cars like Volkswagen Cross Polo, upcoming Maruti Sx4 Cross and Punto Avventura.
