Nissan has officially accepting the booking of Go. The car can be booked for Rs 11,000 and the deliveries are being promised by end of march 2014. Datsun Go was showcased first on July 15, 2013 in India. Datsun has priced Go very aggressively at the Auto Expo 2014 and it will be available in four color option.
It is powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine that churns out 68Bhp and 104Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Go Dimension (Length-3,785mm, Width-1,35mm, Height-1,485mm and Wheelbase-2,450mm).
Company claims a fuel economy of 20.6kmpl and company is offering a two year/ unlimited km warranty. Datsun has started production of Go at Renault's -Nissan’s factory at Oragadam.
A diesel engine is also expected for Go at the end of the year. Datsun will also follow up the Go with two other products for the Indian market, Datsun Go+ MPV and the even smaller Redi-Go hatch.
All three cars will be built at the Renault-Nissan’s joint manufacturing facility at Oragadam. It will be competing with the cars like Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon and Honda Brio.
